For a long time I thought you always had to go abroad to hear/see really good speakers. But since the Fifteen Seconds Festival began in Graz, these days are over.
Off to Graz for the Fifteen Seconds Festival 2016
I would recommend the former Marketing Rockstars Festival to anyone who is interested in current (worldwide) developments in the digital and online marketing sector. Due to the broad structure of the conference, you get a very nice overview of what is currently happening where and which “marketing trends” are currently current in the USA and actually around the world.
At many conferences in Austria you pay horrendous sums of money to actually hear nothing new or innovative. Often the whole thing is a rather pointless undertaking because you could present 90% of the things yourself on stage and not have much to take away.
Therefore, it was often necessary to get the things that would help you in digital marketing in Germany, England, Asia or the USA. However, this advance in knowledge in the digital sector in other countries is not really assessed as such by many companies and the thinking prevails: “Why send the employee so far away, there are also conferences in Austria with quite intelligent-sounding names”.
But enough complaining, as I said, there is the Fifteen Seconds Festival, which shines with international speakers. After my visit last year, I’ll be heading back to Graz tomorrow to listen to the cool things that are happening there in high density. The conference itself is extended over two days this year and the subtitle also calls it “Europe’s Festival for Thought Leaders”, and this title is completely accurate. It is teeming with digitally savvy people and, in my opinion, is the largest and best information exchange in Austria. In terms of price, in contrast to other conferences in Austria, the whole thing is very humanely designed.
If you want to look a little outside Austria, this is the right place for you and you don’t need to travel abroad to other conferences :)
