South Tyrol Tourism – What moves us campaign

South Tyrol Tourism has always been among the best when it comes to innovative tourism marketing (at least that’s my opinion). And with an interesting form of display that is somewhat reminiscent of Pinterest, they bring a wide variety of offers into a nice form with endless scroll. I would almost describe it as mini / micro storytelling as they present background information about the individual offers and try to arouse the user’s interest with the large headline.

Of course, there is also a well-hidden data collection tool linked through which you can “voluntarily” give out your hearts and thus promote your preferences for future newsletter deliveries or even dynamic websites, building and displaying the content according to your respective preferences.

Definitely very interesting and well implemented. And a different way to bring your offers to men/women as a tourism organization.

! Update (07/30/2015) and South Tyrol Advertising goes one better: from now on there is also a call for users to send in small videos “TELL US YOUR STORY!” “What moves you about South Tyrol?”, a most likely atmospheric, emotional video will then be created and the user-generated content will be wonderfully incorporated. I’m curious whether there will be enough people or whether an agency will have to deliver the backup videos. You can usually tell quite easily whether the videos are real or not. In any case, very interesting to see whether it works, as video submission views have always been quite difficult in the past, but the technological threshold should slowly be reached so that practically everyone can create a passable video with their smartphone or SLR camera :)

In any case, the teaser / instruction video is very good and it’s nice to see that some tourism organizations also use the respective channels correctly and don’t rely on high-gloss bullshit if it’s not necessary and doesn’t fit the channel / campaign.
