A few months ago I accidentally became aware of this extremely exciting topic through an app that I now use frequently. To drift off topic for a moment, the app is called Narando and is practically a “reading” app / podcast app that reads pre-recorded articles or simply plays an audio file. Highly recommended, especially for running or walking.
Journalism in transition
The series of articles, originally started by the Oliver Schrott Communication Agency, is about determining the future of journalism. To this end, 8 questions were formulated which were asked of leading figures in the German media industry in an interview. There are illustrious personalities such as: Christoph Amend (41), editor-in-chief of the ZEITmagazin in issue #9, Sebastian Matthes, editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Germany in issue #11, or Juliane Leopold from BuzzFeed in issue #7
How do I actually know all this about Narando? The t3n Magazine has taken up the article series “8 questions about the future of journalism” and is apparently a partner of Narando, which is why these articles and many other interesting t3n magazine articles can be found in the Narando Pool.
So far there are 17 interviews (as of June 18, 2015) that I find extremely insightful and would describe as the best and most up-to-date compedium of knowledge on the exciting topic of how journalism will develop.
Here you can find a list of the articles:Future of Journalism by Oliver Schrott Kommunikation Blog
and here are the articlesfor listening using Narando. Unfortunately there is no good search on the website to put all the articles together at once, but it is possible in the app.
